Irynia tried to run, but she couldn't.

Impossible to resist, the spirit engulfed her, draining her demonic aura.

Impossible.

It was impossible.

Even as she held the feathers in her hands ... her feathers ... she couldn't accept it.

Mimi saw it all.

Mimi saw the beautiful bird demon, laughing as she flew through the forest.

She saw the bright light erupt from the ground.

Mimi watched as the smile on the demon's face twisted in horror; watched as the light swallowed her up.

Now, the light was gone. Feathers swirled through the air.

The demon knelt on the ground, crumpled over, her beautiful kimono stained with dirt.

Mimi edged closer, pushing through a bramble.

The demon's lovely golden hair was dark now, a mousy color, tangled and dull.

As Mimi wondered about this, she could hear a soft sob.

... The demon was crying.

Mimi felt her face twist with sadness. She knew about Yōkai; she knew they were dangerous, evil, not to be trusted.

But as she looked at this one, she couldn't help but feel sorry.

Something terrible had happened to her.

And Mimi wanted to help.

I think what I like best is that streaked mascara look she appears to have under her eyes. Is that what it's supposed to be?

Aw this is nice, you can almost feel the utter devastation, sense of loss, and the cold empty feeling slowly eat her away just like her powers were. I have nothing to critique really, not even her lips which I think you nailed spot on. I also sense an epic meltdown momentarily as she seems just one or two more feathers to pick up from freaking out and break down wailing in despair.

Detailed or not it's still good, so long as you know what's going on. And and you can see what's going on pretty clearly. Care free sketch all the things!

Mimi's got her own agenda; she's a kid with an attitude, and I'm not sure Irynia's ready to deal with that!! X'3

I keep wish-washing between wanting to make everything SUPER DETAILED and watching to just sketch everything. It's a problem ... DX

From what just happened I'm not sure she's going to be able to deal with much xD

I hate that so much, does my head in. But the worst is when you think you've finished something but you end up adding more, and more and more then you get to a point were you just give up on it :/

THAT HAPPENS TO ME ALL THE TIME.
It especially used to happen to me when I was a kid ...
I'd finish a drawing and think it was unfinished, and add so much other unnecessary stuff to it ...
... and then it would become really ugly and ridiculous ... :'c
